Why do you want to pick me for your practitioner?

I specialize in fertility and I mean it. I don’t specialize in sinuses or cardiovascular diseases. My practice is about 70% fertility cases. I get active referrals from RE’s in CT and NY, because they feel my quality of work is well rounded and effective. I am currently interning with Randine Lewis, the author of The Infertility Cure (visit www.thefertilesoul.com for a comprehensive website for women) over the next year to advance my knowledge. I can answer questions such as:

What is involved in the treatment process?

This will depend on where you are in the fertility journey. Some clients only see me 2/3 times before an IVF cycle. Others see me months in advance.  The best quality work I can provide to the client is over at least a 3 month time period. The time allows for priming of follicles and smoothing out hormonal problems. As a part of my services the treatment process includes:

• You will receive dietary information, basic supplementation, massage techniques and book referrals.
• Availability either by phone or email to answer questions or hear your worries/fears. I always return phone calls or emails the same day.
• I will spend time educating or responding to your questions. You will become well educated in your diagnosis so you and your husband can make informed decisions about treatment.
• I have knowledge of Chinese herbs and can prescribe formulas to you, thus you will not need to schedule appointments with an herbalist.
• A support system, so you are not alone as you progress through Eastern or Western treatments.
• We will be discussing the emotional part of fertility treatments. Your emotional well being is recognized in the treatment process. Feelings such as failure, worry, frustration and anger are not ignored. You are seen as a whole person.
• As your practitioner, we will work on stress reduction techniques to offset overwhelming feelings and anxiety.
• If a second treatment is needed in the week, the additional treatment would be at the package rate.

Why spend the money?

This is an investment in your overall health, emotionally and physically.  Unlike Western treatments, my clients (pregnant or not) feel better and notice improved well being. Acupuncture and herbs build up internal strength, support willpower and open fertility beyond the focus of the womb. In comparison with the cost of Western treatments, a three month treatment plan is less than 10% of the typical IVF expense. For a fraction of the IVF price, you will be involved a treatment process that does not treat you as deli customer waiting for your number to be called.

Why a package deals?

I want women of different financial circumstance to access acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I discount my rate in package deals, so you have the opportunity to obtain fertility treatments. Package deals are offered in a three month allotment – 1 two hour initial intake and 11 follow up sessions.  Pay in one check and save 15% or pay in two monthly installments and save 10%. By dedicating yourself to a three month treatment plan, you will have the best opportunity to make a difference in your reproductive health.  This is by far the most important step you can take – three months give the best results.

What is the cost?

$925 in one payment, which equals $77 per treatment.
$977 two payments of $488.50, which equals $81 per treatment.

Why shouldn’t I go to someone cheaper?

Don’t be the client who spends months with a practitioner (who is usually very cheap) and finally ends ups on in my treatment room. Ask the practitioner questions about their knowledge, education and passion. Many practitioners agree to treat infertility because it fills their empty treatment rooms. They do not care about your emotions, the prescribed fertility drugs or ensuring your hormones are harmonized. They want your $50, stick needles in the acupuncture points and leave you to pondering on where this is going. As you know, time is precious and a poor practitioner can waste it.

Is there a time limit to use the package?

Yes. You have four months to use the package from the date of purchase. Time is valuable when attempting to conceive. For the best benefits, I encourage clients to remain focused. By keeping on track, you will observe improved outcomes and positive changes in your health.

What happens if I get pregnant during the 3 months?

If you get pregnant during the treatment process, you can continue your care through the remaining package sessions. Once a client is pregnant, acupuncture can help support the energy around maintaining the pregnancy for the first trimester. Clients involved in post conception care, feel the benefit of maintaining continued treatment for morning sickness, headaches and back pain.

What happens if I don’t want to use the whole package?

If during the treatment process you decide to discontinue treatment, you will be refunded the amount remaining after sessions are charged at regular cost. Thus, if after 5 sessions you decide to discontinue you would be refunded the package amount minus the regular rate for initial session $150 and follow up at $85.
